Admissions

Interested in learning more about King Alfred?
Below you will find our process for meeting with and discerning enrollment for new families.

1. Meet and Learn about King Alfred Classical School

A. Coming to an Informational Meeting
During the Spring semester, we host Informational Meetings where prospective families may learn about King Alfred Classical School and talk with the Headmaster and Board Members. These times are focused on questions and answers all around, and the purpose of these meetings is to assess whether KACS and your family would be a good fit for each other. Dates and times for informational meetings will be posted on this website.

B. Talking over Coffee
If attending an informational meeting is not possible, members of the Board are available to chat with you about KACS and your family.

2. Visit Classes during the School Year (Optional)

Visiting classes is a great opportunity to gauge how well your family and KACS fit together. This time allows you, as a prospective family, to experience the life of KACS. Students will be able to sit in classes and play outside, and parents can both see how classes work and talk with other parents.

3. Interview with two Members of the Board

Before being invited to apply, the headmaster and a member of the Board of King Alfred Classical School will meet with both parents to mutually discern whether KACS and your family can bless each other.

4. Apply and Be Accepted

After a successful interview, you will be invited to apply online. That family application, along with your interview, will be considered by the Board. The Board will then either accept your application or not.

5. Register Each of Your Students

With your acceptance, you will receive an registration link. Your registration is complete, and your place in the school is reserved, upon the receipt of your registration fee(s).
